Conquistadors

and Grow Lights in the making

My Conquistadors are exotic, invasive species of knitted glass and raku-fired clay. They were inspired by observing the twisting and turning growth of sprouts and seedlings. They, in turn, became inspiration for my installation proposal for Bellwether 2012, Grow Lights [see above], which is now on display next to the Bellevue Arts Museum.
